Here I stand from up on my soapbox, rambling about having everything you want, whilst maintaining balance and loving your life.

I'm sending hubby abusive text messages (he loves that shit), threatening to sell up everything and move to a faraway land because I can't cope ONE - MORE - SECOND being owned by a toddler who's life mission is, I swear, to sabotage every single task I set out to achieve.  I need chocolate, stat.

Breathe, Fiona, breathe... remember life's not all beer and skittles...

It doesn't matter how much money you have, how much time you have, how much support you have, how much... anything.  In the most perfect of circumstances, there will always be something (or someone) with the ability to bring you to your knees.  If you let it.

The secret is, DON'T LET IT.

So, I'm not actually a fraud.  But sometimes I do feel fraudulent in this whole 'mentor' capacity, because behind the scenes I have to work so damn hard on MYSELF.

Every day I have a ruthless sword-fight with the demons of self-loathing, self-pity, anxiety, anger, competitiveness and comparison.

Every day I need to draw on all the tools I've learnt (and continue to learn) to prevent myself from doubting, hating and self-sabotaging.

My point is, YES you CAN have everything your heart desires - health, wealth, time, whatever... but it doesn't come without effort.

The more effort you invest in yourself, the more returns you'll see.  And if you're consistent in your small efforts, the BETTER that return will be.  Simple as that.

I'm still a massive work-in-progress, rest assured - but for what it's worth, here's my tips so far:

1. Dream big, and back yourself. Always back yourself.

2. Don't play safe.

3. When circumstances challenge you, challenge YOURSELF to grow.

4. Celebrate success, no matter how small or inconsequential it may seem.

5. Impart the lessons from your mistakes with others, help make their journey a little smoother.

6. Get up, show up, and NEVER GIVE UP.

And in the wise words of Jim Rohn... Don't wish it were easier, wish you were better.
